Willkommen! Karibu*!

Dear visitor!

Welcome on this page, where I share some stories and memories of my volunteering activities as well as some selected travels. It is a kind of diary, a travel diary. Some stories, some experiences, some pictures. A virtual review. Ready to share with you.

Everyone loves travel. Who not? A travel can be an enrichment, regardless where you go to and how. It may widen the own horizon and perhaps life may gets into a slightly different direction? Perhaps something you read here changes something for you? While being on a virtual journey?

What is a travel? Just a pleasure? A passion? An adventure? A time out? However, a journey can also be combined with a study or research or a job or something meaningful. Ideally, we can always learn something during or from a journey. For instance, while doing a job or being a volunteer. A travel can be either the classic way or – for instance – by bicycle. For me this is a very special way of traveling: riding the road bike not too fast to see a lot of the small things and not too slow to cover at least some distance. I love it a lot.

You see the variety. Recently, I’ve travelled two times to Kenya, that has changed a lot for me. And there’s another couple of journeys with a charity bike team: Team Rynkeby. Each year dozens of cycling team go on a bike to Paris, for a good cause. Each of these journeys was a great experience. Those are now ready to share (and there’s more to come). Stay tuned!

You are now invited to take a virtual journey while reading. You will read about my social engagement and I highly appreciate some “tip” by supporting any of the charity projects I am taking care of or I’m involved in. Thank you so much!

Enjoy reading!

* In Swahili language “Karibu” means “Welcome”.
